Partnership Project with Chambers of Industry and Commerce in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq Project Duration: First Main Phase: March 2010 – February 2013 Project partner in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq: Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sulaimaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SULCCI) Duhok Chamber of Commerce and Industry The overall objective of the project is to improve the environment for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the autonomous region of Kurdistan / Iraq. Project objective is to strengthen the Chambers of commerce and Industry in the Kurdistan Region as a contribution to an orderly, stabilizing and sustainable economic development in the Kurdistan Region. The project activities are aimed at strengthening the Chambers in their role as service providers and stakeholders and to provide SMEs a better sustained services. The "Partnership project between the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce and Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Northern Iraq" is financially supported by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) via sequa gGmbH – Partner of German Business. GPP is responsible for the technical steering and the project management.
